  • Route profile

The Passau to Vienna cycling trail along the Danube river is one of the most famous and popular ones in Europe, because of its lack of difficulty which makes it accessible to any cyclist. It’s so well sign posted that you will not get lost. The Danube river will be right by your side to guide you all along anyhow. When you plan your visits to points of interest be aware that some of the vilages on either side of the river are not very well connected as bridges and ferries  are not that frequent.

As you proceed from Vienna to Budapest the road quality varies because the cycling trail is mostly on the Austrian side while in Slovachia and Hungary you will mostly cycle on low traffic roads. Also the road signs are not near as frequent, nonetheless it won’t be difficult to follow your itinerary, which is a bit more hilly as well.

Il mio voto nel complesso è 9.
La vacanza è assolutamente consigliabile anche a famiglie con bambini per la presenza dei laghi dove poter fare qualche sosta per un bagno rinfrescante e giochi nell'acqua.
