I strongly recommend Girolibero cycle tours. I have now cycled a self-guided, guided, and bike and barge trip with Girolibero and I recommend them for a variety of reasons.

Accommodations: Very good
Luggage transport: Excellent
Information packet: Comprehensive and reliable

Orientation: Very good. Due to one of us having substantial hearing loss, the accent of the presenter was at times difficult to overcome. Follow up questions were always addressed.

Emergency response: Excellent. Both Paul and I needed Girolibero emergency response during our cycle tour from Bolzano to Venice. During a self-guided ride from Bolzano to Trento, I became sick and needed to be picked up and transported to our next hotel in Trento. A test message to Girolibero allowed me to be picked up and transported to Trento without harming my health. Both Paul and I were eternally grateful. In addition the next day Paul was riding the tandem by himself, and unbeknownst to him the right pannier fell off the bike. Because we had our Girolibero information inside of the pannier the Italian woman who found the bag on the cycle track along the river, phoned Girolibero emergency # and an hour later the pannier was returned to us. This was a big deal for us. Our computer was inside of the pannier and thankfully was returned in tack.

Cycle tours in Europe are awesome and a well run business is essential in making your tour everything you hoped it would be. As a retired person, who happens to be a double amputee, I am always concerned about what might happen if my health creates problems on the trip. I now know that Girolibero will be there for me if difficulties have to be overcome.

Thank you for two great trips this fall. Our team of friends will forever be grateful. And I forgot to mention the food! How could I have done that? On the bike and barge trip from Mantua to Venice, the food was everything you want it to be. Outrageously good!

Girolibero runs a very efficient cycling business both self guided and guided. I recommend Girolibero for guided, self guided, and bike and barge cycling tours.

We had an opportunity in the fall of 2018 to ride their self guided tour for a week from Pisa to Florence and back to Pisa. The accommodations were excellent, the transfer of gear reliable, and the ride with gps routes as well as the hard copy of the routes made it doable to navigate this countryside even when you have never been here. Five of us rode together, we all enjoyed the Pisa to Florence to Pisa loop.

In addition to meeting the groups needs, I am a below the knee double amputee who rides a tandem bicycle. Girolibero organized our hotel accommodations so that my physical needs concerning bathrooms were accommodated. This made the trip doable for me and my captain.

I have a suggestion for expanding the options for the Pisa to Florence to Pisa loop. I would suggest that Girolibero consider doing the Pisa to Florence to Pisa route over an extended period of time, such as two weeks, so those people who like to cycle (and are slow) can be tourists too. The possible activities that can occur at each site are endless and the information packet given to each couple makes you want to stay and enjoy each small town and its historical gifts. For those of us who are retired and somewhat slow, this would be a fun option.

Just completed the Mid October tour from Bolzano to Venice. First I want to thank you for the beautiful weather. The Vita Pugna with 18 bikers was a good size. The tour leader Michela is a jewel. The captain and cooks brought joy to their work. Their team work was evident. We enjoyed our fellow bikers from the USA and Germany. We always looked forward to the evening meals. Outstanding!

The self guided three days from Bolzano to Mantua were more challenging with more spectacular scenery (Lake Garda and the grape and olive orchards were interesting and on lovely bike paths.

The bike and barge had easier mostly flat biking days, filled with wonderful stops to a cheese factory, carnival rides museum and so on. Everyday included a different delight. The tour leader was very helpful in getting us situated in Venice with water bus schedules and transportation to train station and airport.

We so much appreciated the nature of the bike and barge with meals prepared, a guide leading on the trails and roads, no packing and unpacking each day, and help with connections. It is a real vacation.

We are just back from the Venice Lads (IT003). It was our family vacation with the 5 of us.
It was end of September-2018 very nice weather with blue sky every day. The trip was just wonderful: combination of agriculture landscape with small villages through the fields and rivers, old historical cities like Treviso, Mestre, Chioggia, Padova, Vicenza and Bassano del Grappa. The day of traveling with the ferry between the islands in front of Venice (Lido and Pellestrina) indeed was exciting with even more magnificent places and views.

I must say that although-out the hotels were comfortable with good breakfast, however, they all were very big hotels, we particularly liked the Casa San Raffaele hotel in Vicenza which was rather small with an old-times special character.

The roads are mostly bicycle trail, some are not paved. There were also rides on small roads abut all in all only very few points which we had to ride along busy traffic. Food and wine along the way, as expected, was terrific. We all like to thank Girolibero for a great holiday!

And thanks for the socks too!

Just back from our Apulia tour (third time) and we wanted to give some feedback. Lots of experience now. Overall we would say this is a really great tour, very well organised, timings are great, some interesting hotels.
A big thank you to Marco for the fantastic guide, so helpful to have it and all its suggestions.

We found the combination of the maps, road directions and the guide a great combination, plus the bike computer, it turned some of the other people doing the tour didn't understand how to use them, and the combination.

So general feedback, some lovely and great and interesting hotels. We particularly like the Ostuni, Otranto, Sassi and Leuca hotels, all of which are lovely in lots of different ways.

The new Day 2 route including the aquaduct. This new route is far more challenging than the old one, with the very long and difficult hill up to Cisternino. Personally I prefer the old route over this one. The aquaduct surface is very rough and so very challenging, and the big hill is just extremely difficult.

Day 1: We think you should advise people to take a picnic on this day as there are so few villages to buy lunch along this day's route and as people are stressed a little from working out how to use the bike and maps and so on.

Lecce, the hotels. We have been in 3 different ones now, and they are all quite far out. Since Lecce is such a lovely place to end it would be great if the hotel could be in the old city. Of the 3 hotels we have stayed in with you, this year's one was the best of the three, The Delle Palme.

Easy cycling. We note you are now using the phrase easy cycling as part of your promotional, rather than your previously wording. Easy may not translate so well into English perhaps. Some people who don't cycle much may well think this is not easy cycling, and those that like to cycle may be put off by the idea that the cycle is "easy" and therefore not for them. So if you were looking for a replacement something like relaxing cycling trips may work better in translation.

Overall a big thanks to all the Girolibero team for putting together such a fantastic tour.
